Colby Lake is a 518-acre lake located on the northwest edge of Hoyt Lakes in St. Louis County. The access site features a concrete boat ramp on the lake's south shore with ample parking for 20+ vehicles with trailers, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger boats. The lake has a maximum depth of 37 feet and is characterized by dark brown water.

This is a well-developed recreation area with multiple amenities beyond water access. The Colby Lake Park includes an open-air shelter with picnic tables, a handicap-accessible playground, walking trails, tennis courts, and a fishing pier.
