West Pond at Colt Creek State Park offers a peaceful paddling destination in Polk County, Florida, with one important restriction: **gas-powered motors are prohibited**. Only electric trolling motors are permitted, making this an ideal spot for kayakers, canoeists, and those seeking a quiet water experience. The ramp is suitable for small watercraft including canoes, kayaks, and jon boats.

If you don't have your own paddle craft, canoes and kayaks are available to rent at the ranger station. The park features 27 full-facility campsites and six tent-only sites, making it convenient for extended visits. Bank fishing is also allowed on the pond.
