Comerford Picnic Area provides a boat ramp onto the 1,093-acre Comerford Reservoir, an 8-mile impoundment of the Connecticut River in Monroe, NH. The site features an improved concrete ramp with a steep but well-groomed portage trail. Free trailer parking is available 24/7, along with restroom facilities and handicap-accessible amenities including dock and picnic area access.

**Boating Conditions**
The reservoir offers excellent recreational boating and fishing opportunities with scenic views of the Presidential Range to the east. However, conditions vary significantly: water levels can fluctuate up to six feet, creating Class III rapids suitable for whitewater canoes and kayaks when levels are high. At low water, expect navigational challenges from boulders and shallows. Paddlers should check current water conditions before launching, as these factors greatly impact your experience.
