Conkling Heritage Park

Located at the northern end of Henry Street in Mackinaw City, Conkling Heritage Park offers over 500 feet of waterfront access along South Huron Avenue with a paved boat launch facility. The site is connected to nearby State Historic Park sites via an 1,800-foot waterfront walkway, making it a good hub for exploring Mackinaw City's historic waterfront by paddle or motor vessel.

**Important Considerations for Paddlers:** Be aware that the Straits of Mackinac present challenging conditions with strong currents and wave action, requiring solid paddling skills and appropriate preparation. The launch area can become congested during peak boating season, which may affect access and launch times.
