**Location & Access:** Corning Park is located just outside Parkersburg's city limits on the Little Kanawha River and provides a convenient public launch point via Worthington Creek. The site features a large boat ramp suitable for trailer access, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters launching multi-day trips or day paddles. The park spans 6.6 acres and includes fishing docks alongside the launch facilities.
**Paddling Opportunities:** From Corning Park, paddlers can access both the Little Kanawha River and the nearby Ohio River system. The last few miles of Worthington Creek are navigable by kayak, providing a scenic approach to the main rivers. Once on the Little Kanawha, you'll pass under the State Route 47 bridge immediately north of the put-in. This location serves as the middle of three public access points along the Little Kanawha, positioned between downtown Parkersburg's Point Park upstream and Leachtown (11 miles downstream), giving paddlers flexible routing options for day trips or longer expeditions.
