Sunrise Beach offers one of the few public boat ramp options for accessing the Nueces River and Lake Corpus Christi system. Located in San Patricio County, this facility features two boat ramps suitable for most vessel types, making it a reliable launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The access road is clearly marked with "Sunrise Beach" signage and is located four miles south of Mathis via FM 1068.

The site provides convenient amenities for anglers and paddlers, including an on-site bait stand next to the boat ramps. A nearby campground and RV park (Lakes RV Resort) offers overnight accommodations for those planning extended trips on the water.
