The Cotile Lake South access point, officially known as Kincaid Lake West Boat Launch, is located near Boyce in Rapides Parish, about 15 miles west-northwest of Alexandria. This is a reservable facility on Recreation.gov with a wide asphalt boat ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger motorboats. The launch provides access to Cotile Lake's 1,775 acres of water, making it ideal for paddling, fishing, and recreational boating.
The surrounding Cotile Lake Recreation Area spans 85 acres and offers multiple amenities including camping (both RV and primitive options), picnicking areas with concrete tables, two sandy swimming beaches, and playgrounds.
