About This Access Site
Cotton Bayou Boat Ramp is conveniently located on the north side of Perdido Beach Boulevard (Highway 182), just east of Alabama Highway 161 in Orange Beach. This public access point offers wide, well-maintained boat ramps and courtesy docks, making it ideal for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. Ample parking is available at the site, and the ramp is well-lit for early morning or evening launches.

From Cotton Bayou, paddlers have direct access to Cotton Bayou itself, Perdido Pass, and the Gulf of Mexico, providing excellent opportunities for both protected bayou paddling and open water exploration. The launch's prime location near Gulf State Park makes it a popular starting point for day trips. Nearby paddlers should also note the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge in the area, which offers opportunities to observe wildlife in a protected habitat setting.
