About This Access Site
Crabtree Cove Park offers convenient boat ramp access to Stockton Lake, a scenic 25,000-acre reservoir in the Missouri Ozarks with nearly 300 miles of shoreline. Located just 3.5 miles east of Stockton via Highway 32, the ramp is adjacent to the campground and managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The facility features paved roads, picnic areas, and a well-maintained launch suitable for all types of watercraft from kayaks and canoes to motorboats and sailboats.

The lake's calm, expansive waters make it ideal for recreational paddling and fishing, with populations of largemouth and smallmouth bass throughout. Sailboating is particularly popular, and the lake hosts several races annually. Crabtree Cove operates as a reservable campground (417-276-6799), making it an excellent base for multi-day paddling trips. Additional amenities include playgrounds and fire rings, though note that ADA accessibility is not available at this location. For those seeking a day-use launch without camping, other Army Corps-managed ramps are available around the lake.
