About This Access Site
Crescent Harbor in Crescent City, California offers a convenient public boat launch ramp for kayakers, canoeists, and small boaters. The wide, three-lane ramp is located near the end of Anchor Way, providing direct access to the Crescent City Harbor. Boarding floats line the southern and western edges of the protected launch basin, making it easy to load and unload your vessel.

The harbor itself is a large, sheltered body of water, providing a relatively calm setting for paddling and boating compared to the open ocean. Depending on conditions, the harbor can be a suitable destination for both experienced and novice paddlers. Nearby camping options include Mill Creek Campground and Jedediah Smith Campground, making Crescent Harbor a great launching point for multi-day trips or weekend adventures. While the facility is open 24/7, there are no fees or reservations required to use the boat ramp.
