Crooked Lake is a 162-acre lake in the Oxford area offering a public boat ramp for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters. The concrete ramp is maintained by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and provides reliable access to explore this moderately-sized body of water. The lake reaches a maximum depth of 37 feet with moderately clear water conditions, making it suitable for both paddling and fishing.
The access site includes a vault toilet facility. Note that the site is closed from 11:00 pm to 4:00 am, and swimming, wading, and bathing are not permitted. The surrounding landscape features flat-to-gently-rolling terrain with sandy soils. The lake supports populations of panfish, largemouth bass, and northern pike, making it attractive for anglers as well as recreational paddlers. The nearby Fox River National Wildlife Refuge also offers additional exploration opportunities in the region.
