The Crooked Lake boat ramp in Deerwood offers a developed public access point with a concrete ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small boats. The site includes a parking lot and vault toilet facilities. This 115-acre lake features a maximum depth of 26 feet and lies in a flat-to-gently-rolling watershed with sandy soils, making it accessible for paddlers of varying experience levels.
This launch is ideally positioned for exploring the broader Crooked-Burt Lakes corridor, as it sits across from the mouth of the Crooked River—making it a convenient starting point for multi-lake paddling trips. The calm, sheltered waters of this smaller lake make it suitable for recreational paddling, fishing, and leisurely boating. Note that the access site is closed during overnight hours (11:00 pm to 4:00 am) and is designated for boating only, with swimming and wading prohibited.
