About This Access Site
The Crooked Lake boat ramp, located near Cramer in Lake County, provides DNR-maintained access to this 264-acre lake with a maximum depth of 73 feet. This is a developed launch facility suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore the lake and its connecting waterways. The ramp is well-positioned for paddlers interested in exploring the "Black Hole," the scenic connecting waterway between Pickerel and Crooked Lakes, or for those planning to paddle across the lake toward the mouth of the Crooked River.

This access site is first-come, first-served with no reservations required. Nearby paddlers and boaters should note that Shoepack Lake, accessible via these waters, offers a backcountry camping option with a single primitive site featuring a fire grate and latrine. Ninemile Lake Campground is also available within 10 miles if you're planning a multi-day trip. Standard backcountry precautions apply: treat or boil water, hang food packs, and fully extinguish campfires before leaving.
