Crystal Lake

**Location & Access:** Crystal Lake West Park provides public boat access on the west end of Crystal Lake in Burnsville, Dakota County. The city-owned access is located off Crystal Lake Road, east of I-35. The park features a hard surface trail and canoe rack rental available on-site.

**Paddling Information:** Crystal Lake is a 54-acre lake offering a protected paddling environment suitable for kayakers and canoeists. Note that there is currently no ideal dedicated launch or landing area for non-motorized boats, so paddlers share the boat ramp with motorized vessels. Please keep the ramp clear when launching and landing. A fishing pier on the north shore (accessible via Crystal Lake Circle) provides an additional reference point on the water. Park District residents will need to obtain an annual key fob to access the launch area, and all watercraft must enter through the boat gate.

**Nearby Recreation:** Crystal Lake is located near the Minnesota Valley Wetland Management District and within the Upper Mississippi River Valley corridor between Minneapolis and St. Paul, offering opportunities to explore a scenic region with diverse natural areas.
