**Location & Access:** Culhane Lake State Forest is located 17 miles west of Newberry on Highway 123, then north on County Road 500 (Northwestern Rd N) in McMillan Township, Luce County. The boat launch is situated adjacent to the Culhane Lake State Forest Campground, approximately 200 feet past the campground entrance off County Road 500.
**Facilities & Paddling Conditions:** This 97-acre lake offers a scenic paddling experience in a secluded, rustic setting. The access point provides a boat launch for paddlers and boaters, with carry-in access also available directly from some campsites. The lake is known for excellent walleye and pike fishing, making it popular with anglers as well. **Note:** A temporary closure is in effect for boat ramp replacement, so contact the site managers before visiting—Craig Krepps (906-492-3415) or John Pepin (906-226-1352).
**Important:** ORVs are permitted in the campground for entry and exit only. If staying overnight, the adjacent campground provides convenient waterfront camping options.
