About This Access Site
Located at the south end of the Lake Tomahawk campground in Oneida County, this public boat landing provides convenient access to 44-acre Cunard Lake. The facility features a paved launch ramp, launch pier, and turnaround area, with parking for 4 trailer stalls. A small sandy beach and picnic area are also available nearby, making this a pleasant spot to prepare for your outing.

Cunard Lake offers excellent conditions for kayaking and canoeing, with a maximum depth of 23 feet and calm waters ideal for paddling exploration. The lake connects to Sweeney Lake via a scenic creek, providing extended paddling opportunities for canoeists. The lake supports populations of Musky, Northern Pike, Walleye, Largemouth Bass, and Panfish, making it attractive to both anglers and paddlers. Note that this is a loon nesting site, so paddlers should observe wildlife respectfully. The adjacent campground provides amenities including vault toilets and drinking water, plus trash and recycling facilities.
