Dark Lake is a 230-acre lake located near Mizpah in Koochiching County, Minnesota, offering a well-maintained concrete boat ramp suitable for most recreational vessels. The access site is situated on the northwest end of the lake and includes a public fishing pier and picnic area, making it a convenient launching point for kayakers, canoeists, and small to medium-sized motorboats. The lake reaches depths of up to 50 feet and features fairly abundant aquatic vegetation.
The lake supports a variety of fish species including walleye, northern pike, and panfish, making it popular with anglers as well as paddlers. There are no launch fees at this access site. The concrete ramp and accessible facilities make this a user-friendly entry point for exploring Dark Lake's 230 acres of water.
