About This Access Site
The Davis access point is located at the end of Camp 70 Road (approximately 4 miles from Davis) along the scenic flatwater section of the Blackwater River in Tucker County. This is an ADA-accessible boat launch facility offering improved ramp access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The launch provides convenient access to the calmer, more scenic upper section of the Blackwater River, making it suitable for paddlers of various skill levels.

Parking is available at the site, though overnight parking is not recommended. The ramp is accessed via a single-lane paved road just north of the nearby state park entrance. From here, paddlers can explore the flatwater sections of the Blackwater River or plan longer trips downriver. The proximity to Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge (established in 1994) adds to the area's appeal for nature-oriented recreation.
