About This Access Site
De Cordova Bend Park offers convenient access to Lake Granbury and the Brazos River tailrace area near the dam in Hood County. The park features a single-lane concrete boat ramp, fishing pier, restroom facilities, and a parking area. This is an excellent launch point for kayakers and canoeists looking to explore the lake or access the lower Brazos River below the dam.

**Getting There:** From US 377 just east of Granbury, turn south on FM 4, then right on FM 167. Follow park signs to the access area. The park is open year-round and free to use, operating on a first-come, first-served basis. Free camping is also available for those planning overnight trips.

**What to Expect:** As a dam-adjacent site, this location provides access to both the calm, lake-like conditions of Lake Granbury and the more dynamic tailrace waters of the Brazos River. This makes it suitable for paddlers of various skill levels, though conditions below the dam can vary with water releases. The fishing pier and basic amenities make this a solid choice for day trips or extended camping adventures.
