About This Access Site
De Leon Springs State Park offers convenient boat launch access to Spring Garden Lake and the scenic St. Johns River system in Volusia County. The facility includes a boat ramp and dock available during park operating hours (8 a.m. to sunset) with no additional charge. Boats up to 20 feet can be launched depending on current water levels. The park provides parking for both vehicles and boat trailers, making it an accessible entry point for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats.

From this ramp, paddlers can explore Spring Garden Run and access Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge, a 47,000-acre protected area established for migratory bird habitat. This makes De Leon Springs an excellent base for wildlife viewing and nature paddling. If you don't have your own equipment, the park offers kayak, paddleboard, and canoe rentals on-site. For more information or to confirm current conditions and facilities, contact the park directly at (386) 985-4212 or visit the park office at 601 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, De Leon Springs, FL 32130.
