Dead River Landing is a well-developed county park offering improved boat access to the Choctawhatchee River in Walton County, Florida. The facility features an improved boat ramp, floating dock platform, boardwalk, and several amenities including two pavilions, seven RV sites, and portable toilets. To reach the landing, take SR 79 west on CR 284 (Millers Ferry Road), then continue west on Choctaw Road to the end, or access via Dead River Road approximately 2.3 miles east of Highway 81.

The Choctawhatchee River at this location is a major river system (142.6 miles total length) with substantial flow averaging 7,754 cubic feet per second and relatively gentle slopes of 1.1 feet per mile.
