Deadhorse Lake Campground offers a boat ramp suitable for both trailered and non-trailered watercraft, making it convenient for kayakers, canoeists, and small boats. The lake is designated for non-motorized and electric motor use only, creating a peaceful paddling environment. A separate day-use area is available in addition to the campground facilities, so visitors can launch without camping overnight.
The campground provides 9 tent and trailer sites plus 7 group camping areas, all available on a first-come, first-served basis. Note that weekends and holidays typically fill up quickly. Basic amenities include hand pump drinking water and fire grills at each site. The lake is popular for fishing and swimming in addition to boating, and nearby access to the Lakes Trail System offers hiking opportunities for those combining water and land recreation.
Located in Lake County, Oregon, this site provides a good base for exploring the region's water access points. For current information on seasonal closures or facility conditions, contact the local chamber at 541-947-6040 before planning your trip.
