About This Access Site
Dean Lake is a 173-acre lake located 3.5 miles southeast of Buffalo in southeastern Wright County, Minnesota. The public boat ramp is situated on the east side of the lake adjacent to County Road 14, offering convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. With an average depth of 10 feet and maximum depth of 20 feet, the lake provides suitable conditions for recreational paddling and fishing.

The access site has limited parking available. Most standard boat launch ramps at this location can accommodate 12-18 foot boats, though capacity may vary. There are no launch fees at this access point. Given the limited parking, it's advisable to arrive early during peak recreation times, especially on weekends. The site is best suited for day trips and recreational paddling rather than extended wilderness expeditions.
