About This Access Site
The Deaton Bridge boat ramp provides access to the scenic Blackwater River within Blackwater River State Forest near Holt, Florida. To reach the ramp, take Deaton Bridge Road north from US 90 (approximately 9 miles east of Milton) for about 4 miles, then turn right onto paved Forest Road J28 and continue 1 mile to the launch area. The facility is straightforward but basic—expect limited parking and no amenities on-site.

This ramp is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and small boats launching onto the Blackwater River. Visiting on weekdays is recommended to avoid crowds, especially during peak season.
