Located on the western shore of Dellwater Lake in Shevlin, this public boat ramp provides convenient access to a 199-acre lake in scenic Beltrami County. The launch can accommodate approximately 10 vehicles and is suitable for boats up to 12-18 feet, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats. There are no launch fees unless the access is located within a park requiring a vehicle permit.
Dellwater Lake is a relatively shallow waterbody with a mean depth of 8 feet and maximum depth of 29 feet. The lake has 2.5 miles of shoreline and no inlets or outlets connecting to other waterbodies, making it a contained recreational destination. The shallow profile means paddlers should be mindful of water conditions, particularly during winter months when the lake is prone to partial winterkill. This makes it best suited for leisurely paddling and fishing rather than extended touring.
