About This Access Site
Dent Acres offers a developed boat launch providing access to Dworshak Reservoir, a 54-mile-long impoundment on the North Fork Clearwater River in northern Idaho. Located 19 miles from Orofino via Dent Bridge Road, this is one of several ramp options serving the reservoir. The facility includes a campground operated by Recreation.gov (reservable sites available) with amenities supporting extended water recreation trips. For current conditions and reservations, contact 208-476-9029.

Paddlers and boaters should note that water levels on Dworshak Reservoir fluctuate seasonally, which can affect ramp accessibility and launching conditions. The reservoir is popular for fishing (kokanee salmon, rainbow trout, and smallmouth bass), water skiing, and extended touring. The scenic forested setting with abundant wildlife makes it suitable for recreational paddling and leisurely boating. Note that the campground does not have ADA accessible facilities. Plan ahead during low water periods, as ramp usability can be limited—check current conditions before your trip.
