The facility features a concrete boat ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The lake is located approximately 400 feet from the ramp, making it an easy carry for smaller watercraft. This is one of five concrete ramp locations available around Salamonie Lake, offering paddlers reliable launching options.
The access site includes a full-service picnic area with a 72x36 shelter building, 50 parking spaces, 10 picnic tables, electrical service, fireplace and grill, and a seasonal modern restroom located about 300 feet away. The surrounding area is grass with a cement shelter floor, making it suitable for day trips or group outings. Paddlers should note that the boundary between the Salamonie River and Reservoir is located approximately 2,300 feet downstream of the western car-top boat ramp, which may be relevant depending on your intended paddling destination.
