Dower Lake is a small, 79-acre lake located just west of Staples in Todd County. The public boat access is situated on the east side of the lake and provides convenient launching for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. The ramp can accommodate boats up to 12-18 feet depending on conditions. There are no launch fees unless a vehicle permit is required for the park area.
In addition to the boat ramp, the access site features a 612-foot fishing pier, swimming beach, and picnic areas, making it a well-developed recreational destination. The lake supports populations of bluegill, northern pike, and black crappie.
