About This Access Site
**Location & Access**
Dowling Park Boat Ramp is located on the north side of CR 250 just east of the Dowling Park Bridge in Suwannee County, Florida. The site features a single-lane concrete boat ramp with shaded trailer parking. The ramp provides convenient access to the northern Suwannee River, positioned about one hour south of Valdosta, GA, one hour west of Lake City, and approximately 1.5 hours northwest of Gainesville.

**Amenities & Nearby Paddling**
The facility includes picnic tables, a grill, and a portable restroom, making it suitable for day trips and longer outings. From this launch point, paddlers have access to several miles of river travel, with nearby named landings including Hinton Landing (2.37 miles downstream), Mixon's Hammock Canoe Shelter (2.50 miles), and Dowling Park River Camp (2.46 miles). The ramp also provides access to the Suwannee River Water Management Fox Trail Tract, which offers additional recreation opportunities including horseback riding trails. This makes Dowling Park a good base for kayaking and canoeing expeditions on the upper Suwannee River.
