Driftstone Camping

Driftstone Camping provides boat ramp access to the Delaware River in Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania, with a designated three-mile paddling zone for kayaks, canoes, and small boats. The facility offers a family-friendly setting with 78 campsites (23 tent-only, 55 mixed-use) along two miles of river frontage, featuring picnic tables, fire rings, modern restrooms, showers, and drinking water. Additional amenities include a swimming pool, fishing access, and various recreational facilities. Note that jet skis, waverunners, pontoon boats, and motors with over-the-transom exhaust are not permitted.

The Delaware River at this location is a major waterway with an average flow of approximately 30,140 cubic feet per second and average velocity of 3.11 feet per second, typical of a larger river system. The moderate gradient of 2.7 feet per mile suggests moderate current conditions that paddlers should be prepared for. This site works well as a base for day trips and recreational paddling within the designated launch zone, with nearby Worthington State Forest Campground offering an additional camping option on the New Jersey side.

The park has 78 tent and trailer sites along two miles of river frontage.  Each site contains a picnic table and a fire ring. Showers, modern toilet facilities and drinking water are available. Sites 1-23 are available for tent camping only and sites 29 -82 are available for tents, travel trailers and motorhomes.
