About This Access Site
The E Road Bridge boat ramp provides convenient access to the Cass River in Saginaw, making it a practical launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats exploring this scenic waterway. Located in Saginaw County, the site offers a direct entry to the river and serves as a good starting point for downstream paddling adventures. The area is situated near significant natural resources, including the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge and Michigan Wetland Management District, which offer excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and nature-based recreation.

When paddling downstream from this access point, be aware that the river will split approximately 4 miles away, forming an island; keep to the right fork (the wider channel). You'll pass under the Sheridan Road Bridge about a quarter mile beyond the split. This section of the Cass River is suitable for recreational paddling and is popular with both canoeists and kayakers. Before launching, check current water conditions and flow rates, as river conditions can vary seasonally.
