About This Access Site
Eagle Lake's boat ramp in Mountain Lake, Cottonwood County provides a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The access features an asphalt parking area that transitions to gravel near the boat launch zone, with dedicated trailer parking available. A warming hut is located at the lake's edge, offering seasonal comfort for users.

**Important Planning Note:** The Eagle Lake Public Water Access (PWA) underwent reconfiguration and reopened for the May 10 fishing season start. Boaters should plan ahead due to reduced parking availability following these improvements. The site has a payment box for launch fees; rates are posted on-site. For current conditions or questions, contact the DNR Sauk Rapids Area office at 320-223-7861.

The lake is also situated near the Windom Wetland Management District, making it a good launching point for exploring regional wildlife habitat and waterfowl areas. Paddlers should check conditions before visiting and arrive early during peak seasons, given the limited parking capacity.
