About This Access Site
Eagle Point Fishing Camp, located in Bacliff on the western shore of Galveston Bay, offers a well-established launch facility for boaters and paddlers. The site features a large 3-lane boat ramp with an indoor basin and over 400 feet of docking space, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger vessels. As Texas's oldest fishing camp (established in 1929), the facility has decades of experience handling recreational watercraft.

The site provides excellent amenities for a full day on the water, including a full-service marina, gas dock, tackle shop, and bait sales. The location puts you within 10 miles of popular fishing areas and is conveniently positioned for accessing Galveston Bay's shallow bays and reefs. Keep in mind that Galveston Bay can experience significant chop and ship wakes, so paddlers should be prepared for variable water conditions and plan accordingly, especially if using smaller craft. An RV park is also available for those wanting overnight accommodations.
