About This Access Site
The East Bay ramp is located on Bolivar Peninsula in Galveston County and provides public access to Trinity Bay's western system near the Fred Hartman Bridge and ship channel. This is a free, basic launching facility ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and small to medium boats. The ramp is easily accessible by vehicle—from Texas Highway 19 north of Riverside, turn right at the ramp location just before the bridge.

From this launch point, paddlers can explore the western end of the Trinity Bay system, including nearby creeks and marsh waterways. Be aware that reaching the eastern portions of the bay requires a longer paddle. The proximity to the Fred Hartman Bridge and shipping channel means boaters should stay alert for commercial traffic and bridge operations. This location works well for day trips into protected marsh areas and is a good option for anglers fishing the bay system.
