About This Access Site
East Fork Park offers two 4-lane boat ramps on the southern shores of Lavon Lake, making it an excellent access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The south ramp includes a courtesy dock for convenient launching and loading. A $5 day-use fee applies to the main park area, but **the public boat ramps can be accessed without paying an entrance fee**. The facility features amenities including hot showers, RV and tent camping, and a swimming beach, making it ideal for multi-day paddling trips or weekend getaways near the Dallas area.

**Getting There:** From Wylie, take Texas 78 east and turn north on County Road 389. The park entrance is near the intersection of CR 389 and CR 384. For additional directions from Princeton, take FM 982 south from US 380, then follow FM 3286 and FM 546 west.

The park is operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers and is one of the more developed recreational facilities on Lavon Lake. With its dual ramps, amenities, and spacious parking, East Fork accommodates various water users and is well-suited for launching paddling expeditions on the lake. Boating and fishing are consistently popular activities for lake-goers. Horseback riding and hiking is great along the Trinity Trail, with a trailhead beginning adjacent to the East Fork campground. Facilities
The campground offers 50 sites with water and electric hookups, plus 12 tent-only sites. There are not sewer hook-ups at the campsite, but there is a dump station located near the park entrance. It's the only campground at Lavon Lake with 50-amp electricity. Extra conveniences include hot showers and two boat ramps. The group campground is available year-round and fits 175 guests.

Horses are allowed at the Equestrian Loop, and each equestrian site has a portable horse stall.Natural Features
