About This Access Site
**IMPORTANT:** This boat ramp is currently **not functional** due to water level changes from a recent U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project. Check current conditions before visiting.

The Monongahela River at this location is a large, powerful waterway (Stream Order 7) with substantial flow averaging over 13,000 cubic feet per second and current speeds around 4 mph. The river's modest 1.2 ft/mile gradient creates manageable conditions for experienced paddlers and motorboats, though commercial barge traffic is frequent in this area—stay alert for tug boats pushing coal barges. Located near La Belle in Fayette County, the site features a concrete ramp with dockside access when operational.

**Alternative Access:** If the East Fredricktown ramp remains closed, consider Point Marion Park (off South Main Street), a PA Fish & Boat Commission facility offering public boat ramps and docks. Additional paddling and camping options exist downstream near Two Rivers Campground and Marina, as well as Greene River Trail access at Rices Landing.
