East Lakeshore Park offers a convenient single-lane concrete ramp for accessing Lake Lyndon B. Johnson's Llano River arm. The facility provides parking for 20-30 boats and trailers, making it a suitable option for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats. The ramp is located in a protected cove with adjacent docking, providing good launch conditions in most weather. The site is situated on the north side of the lake between Horseshoe Bay and Cottonwood Shores.
To reach the ramp, take Highway 2147 toward Wirtz Dam Road (approximately 4 miles north of Highway 281) and look for signs directing you to Bay Marine and LBJ Marina. The ramp entrance is located in the Sail & Ski parking area. As a constant-level reservoir, Lake LBJ offers stable water conditions suitable for recreational paddling and boating throughout the year. Before launching, check current conditions and plan your route based on wind direction and your vessel's capabilities.
