About This Access Site
The Pico Road Boat Ramp provides convenient access to the St. Johns River in east Palatka. To reach the ramp, head east on U.S. Highway 17 from the eastern end of Memorial Bridge for 1.9 miles, then turn right on Pico Road and continue 0.2 mile to the ramp at the road's end. This is a single-lane ramp with unimproved parking that can accommodate approximately 20 vehicles.

Recent renovations to the docks have improved safety for launching and docking operations. The facility is suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats accessing the St. Johns River. The ramp appears to be a no-fee public access point, making it an economical choice for paddlers and boaters in the area. Given its location on a major river system, this access point works well for both casual day trips and longer paddling excursions, though paddlers should be aware that the single-lane ramp may have limited capacity during peak usage times.
