Edward Medard Park provides access to the 700-acre Medard Reservoir, located off Turkey Creek Road south of Highway 60 in East Hillsborough County. The park features three concrete boat ramps with docks for loading and unloading. **Note:** The public boat ramp has been closed indefinitely due to low water levels, though kayaks and canoes may still be able to access the water from alternate locations in the park.
Boaters should be aware that Medard Reservoir is subject to a no-wake restriction (idle speed only) throughout due to the convoluted nature of the waterway and safety considerations. The reservoir is popular and attracts significant recreational use. A boating fee is required for access. For current conditions and specific information about water levels and access availability, contact the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Southwest Regional Office at 863-648-3200.
