Eleven Mile State Park

Eleven Mile State Park offers multiple boat ramps providing access to the scenic Elevenmile Canyon Reservoir on the South Platte River. This high-altitude reservoir is a popular destination for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats.

The primary boat launch is located in the North Shore area, with two ramps available. An aquatic nuisance species (ANS) stamp, current boat registration, and a pre-launch inspection are required to access the reservoir. Depending on the water level, some ramps may not be usable for larger motorized craft. Paddlers and boaters should be prepared for cool mountain temperatures and changeable weather conditions.

The park is open year-round, though services like the entrance station may have seasonal hours. Nearby campgrounds at Cove and Spillway provide convenient access to the reservoir. Those seeking additional fishing and hiking opportunities can also explore the scenic Eleven Mile Canyon below the dam.

Eleven Mile Picnic Area is one of four picnic areas in Eleven Mile Canyon. There are 15 picnic sites here each equipped with a grill, picnic table, and parking.
