About This Access Site
**Location & Access:**
The Engelhard Boat Ramp provides public access to Kitty Creek and the unnamed canal system in Hyde County. Located at 4190 Bob Perry Road in Engelhard, NC, the ramp is easily accessed via US Highway 264. From the US 264 and Kitty Island Road intersection, travel approximately 0.2 miles down Kitty Island Road, or follow Bob Perry Road about 0.5 miles from the main highway. This is a free, 24-hour access area maintained by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission.

**Facilities & Conditions:**
This modest access point includes a boat ramp and picnic area, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats. The site provides water access to Kitty Creek and connecting canal systems characteristic of the Atlantic Coastal Plain region. Note that overnight dockage is not permitted at this facility, so plan accordingly for day-use trips.
