About This Access Site
Englebright Reservoir, also known as Englebright Lake, offers a unique boat-in camping experience for kayakers, canoeists, and other small watercraft enthusiasts. Located in the scenic Sierra Nevada foothills, this reservoir is nestled within the steep Yuba River canyon.

The Joe Miller boat ramp provides convenient access to the lake, situated just before the Skippers Cove Marina off the second entrance to Englebright Lake. Paddlers can enjoy a variety of recreational activities, including fishing for smallmouth bass, trout, and Kokanee salmon. The Englebright Lake Boat-In Campground, which is reservable through Recreation.gov, offers 51 campsites equipped with fire rings, lantern hangers, picnic tables, and tent pads, allowing for an immersive, off-the-grid camping experience.

Nearby recreation areas, such as the Narrows Day Use Area, Bridgeport State Park, and New Bullards Bar Reservoir, provide additional opportunities for exploration and enjoyment of the scenic Sierra Nevada landscape. Paddlers and boaters should note that potable water is available at the two launch ramps - the Narrows Day Use Area near the dam and the Joe Miller Ravine Ramp.

Located between Grass Valley and Yuba City off State Route 20.
Recreation
Englebright Lake is a destination fishery, providing anglers with a variety of options including small and large mouth bass, trout and Kokanee salmon. The boat-in campground has 51 sites that include a fire ring, lantern hanger, picnic table and tent pad. 
Facilities
Campsites are accessed by boat only. Sites are remote with no hookups. Vault toilets are available within walking distance. Be sure to pack potable water with you before heading to your campsite. Some of the campsites are located in open, grassy areas while others are tucked into wooded areas. A marina convenience store is located on the lake and accessible by land or water.

Englebright Lake is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills, within a steep canyon with notable waterfalls and abundant wildlife. A mix of agricultural land and thick forest surround the lake and campgrounds.
