About This Access Site
The Ephraim access site provides a convenient launch point into Green Bay's protected waters, located behind the Ephraim Visitor Center at 10049 State Highway 42 in Sister Bay, Door County. This small parking area is well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and small boat launches. A daily launch fee of $6 applies (payable at the VenTek pay station), with ample public parking available in the village near the marina. The village itself sits approximately 15 miles north of Sturgeon Bay and 10 miles south of Sister Bay.

This location offers excellent access to Green Bay's relatively calm, protected waters, making it ideal for recreational paddling and boating. The site is particularly popular during winter months for ice fishing activities. From here, paddlers can explore Green Bay's shoreline and venture toward nearby attractions like Gravel Island National Wildlife Refuge, which features protected islands in Lake Michigan. The protected harbor in Ephraim provides a scenic destination for a range of water activities, from casual day paddles to longer explorations of Door County's waterways.
