About This Access Site
Located in Medford, Taylor County, the Esadore Lake public boat landing provides access to this 48-acre northern Wisconsin lake. The ramp is situated near the West Point Recreation Area, a family-friendly campground with additional amenities including hiking trails and scenic facilities. This is a straightforward access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters looking to launch on a compact lake.

Esadore Lake reaches a maximum depth of 36 feet, offering decent depth for most water activities. Be aware that the lake has low water clarity, which is typical for this region. The lake supports a healthy fishery including panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye, making it popular with anglers. With its modest size and relatively shallow character compared to larger Wisconsin lakes, Esadore Lake is well-suited for paddlers seeking a manageable, quieter paddling experience in a scenic northern Wisconsin setting.
