About This Access Site
This public boat ramp provides access to L-38 West Canal and Water Conservation Area 3 (WCA-3), prime destinations for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters exploring the Everglades. The ramp features a two-lane, well-maintained concrete launch suitable for most boat types, with dockage available. The adjacent rim canals offer excellent paddling opportunities, while interior marshes are accessible by airboat. Note that water levels drop significantly during the dry winter season, which may limit access for shallow-draft vessels and airboats.

**Key Information for Visitors:** Access the area from the L-5 or Miami Canal levees only. Multiple alternative access points are available throughout WCA-3, including ramps along Alligator Alley and Tamiami Trail (SR 41), as well as Mack's Fish Camp on Krome Avenue. The surrounding Everglades WMA supports a variety of recreational activities, including kayaking, fishing, biking, and hiking along the levees. Plan your visit during the wet season (May–November) for optimal water conditions if paddling shallow-draft canoes or kayaks.
