About This Access Site
This boat ramp provides access to the L-67A Canal and the scenic Tamiami Canal Trail system in the Everglades WMA. Located on the north side of US 41 (Tamiami Trail) in Miami-Dade County, the middle ramp of the three available ramps directly accesses the L-67A Canal. This access point is ideal for paddlers and boaters looking to explore the canal system in Florida's Atlantic Coastal Plain.

From this location, boaters can access an 11-mile paddling route along the Tamiami Canal Trail (L-29) running north to SR 997 at the S-334 spillway and L-30 canal trail access. Note that these two points (L-67A and SR 997) are the primary access points for this scenic corridor. The canal system offers relatively flat water conditions typical of the Everglades, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and shallow-draft motorboats.

Before launching, check current conditions and water levels, as the Everglades WMA water levels can vary seasonally. This area is managed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), so familiarize yourself with any current regulations or restrictions for the Everglades and Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area.
