Exchange Avenue

Exchange Avenue provides convenient public access to the Oklahoma River in downtown Oklahoma City. The launch is located southwest of the Exchange Avenue and Oklahoma River intersection at the Exchange Boathouse (1409 S. Exchange Ave). From the parking lot, proceed to the west end, pass through the gate between the white boathouses, and follow the sidewalk down to the boat dock. This is a well-established access point managed by the City of Oklahoma City, making it reliable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters.

The Oklahoma River is an urban waterway suitable for recreational paddling, with a 5-mile walking and biking trail running along both sides offering scenic views and additional amenities. The area is near downtown attractions, including the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Bricktown. Nearby services include Bass Pro Shops (200 Bass Pro Dr), which has fishing tackle and supplies. The access point is ideal for both day trips and exploring the urban river corridor, though paddlers should be aware of this being a city river environment with potential motorboat traffic.
