About This Access Site
Fair Haven offers a well-developed DNR boat launch on Lake St. Clair with hard-surface ramps, making it a reliable access point for kayakers, canoeists, and larger boats. The facility features multiple launch ramps with 158 parking spaces, including newer overflow parking to accommodate busy periods. Bathrooms are available on-site. Note that the ramps can get crowded in the morning, and there is some distance to walk from your vehicle back to the water after launching.

The location provides access to Little Muscamoot Bay and the broader Lake St. Clair area, a relatively shallow, productive water body popular for fishing and recreational paddling. This is a good launch point for paddlers exploring the lake's protected bays and for boaters seeking convenient access to central Lake St. Clair. If you need more extensive amenities, nearby Mayea Marina offers full-service options including 175+ boat slips and additional facilities within easy reach.
