Farrington Point is a popular boat launch and access site on the New Hope River arm of Jordan Lake in Chatham County, North Carolina. This U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation area offers convenient access to the lake for kayakers, canoeists, and small boat owners.
The launch area features two ramps - one on the left for hand-carried craft like canoes and kayaks, and a larger ramp on the right for trailered boats. There is ample parking for vehicles and trailers. The ramp is maintained by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, making it a reliable and well-kept access point.
The New Hope River flows into the large, expansive Jordan Lake, offering paddlers and boaters scenic coves, inlets, and opportunities to explore the lake's many fingers. While the main lake can see significant boat traffic, the upper reaches of the New Hope River provide a more tranquil, natural setting for those seeking a quieter experience on the water. Farrington Point provides a great starting point to access this beautiful reservoir.
