About This Access Site
Located 4 miles west of Babcock Street on Fellsmere Grade Road (approximately 10 miles west of Fellsmere, FL off I-95), this FWMA boat ramp provides access to Stick Marsh and the St. Johns River system. The facility features 36 paved parking spaces with additional overflow parking, restroom facilities, and is well-suited for both motorized and non-motorized watercraft. This is the primary access point for the St. Johns River basin in this area, with an established launch infrastructure designed to accommodate trailer parking for approximately 44 boats.

The site serves as an excellent jumping-off point for exploring Stick Marsh, St. Johns Marsh, and Barney Green—interconnected water bodies within the broader St. Johns River ecosystem. Kayakers and canoeists will appreciate the accessible non-motorized launch options, while the facility's developed amenities (parking, restrooms) make it convenient for day trips or longer paddling adventures. The levee system and marsh environment offer typical central Florida paddling conditions with shallow, scenic waterways characteristic of the St. Johns River basin.
